Christmas dog portraits from photos you already have
From a garden photo to a Christmas portrait
See the starting photo beside the finished Festive portrait: the same dog, in a warm Christmas setting.
These are sample dog images for demonstration purposes.
A little Christmas hat

The hat was added to this AI-generated demo’s starting photo before DogPhoto processing. DogPhoto keeps existing accessories; it does not automatically add hats.
Christmas, just as they are

Turn a favourite photo of your dog into a portrait for your Christmas card, a gift or the holiday album. Choose a look, pay once and download your files. Nothing is shipped, so there is no delivery deadline.
Made for cards and gifts
Every finished photo comes as a full-resolution JPG, a transparent PNG and social crops, so one portrait can do several jobs.
A Christmas card
Use the full-resolution JPG in your card design. The transparent PNG lets you place your dog on your own layout.
A framed print as a gift
Print the full-resolution JPG and frame it for someone who loves your dog.
Holiday posts
Share the social crops on your feeds or use them as a seasonal profile picture.
The family album
Keep the portraits together with the album ZIP that comes with your order.
Ready in minutes
Allow about 5–30 minutes. Larger albums may take longer. We email you when your portraits are ready.
Everything is delivered digitally, so there is no shipping deadline. Leave time for your own printing and posting.
Pick a look
Warm studio and Cozy home suit holiday cards well. Every order includes one portrait style, so all the photos in an album share the same look.
Christmas portrait questions
How do I get a good print for a card or gift?
Print from the full-resolution JPG rather than a social crop. DogPhoto delivers digital files only, so choose a print service and check the print size and resolution it recommends. A sharp, well-lit starting photo gives the best result.
Can I use several photos for one family card?
Yes. One order takes one to twenty photos, each with one clearly visible dog. All photos in an order share one portrait style, so the portraits match when you combine them in a layout.
How long does it take?
Allow about 5–30 minutes. Larger albums may take longer. We email you when your portraits are ready.
Can I give the portrait as a gift?
Yes. You receive digital files that you can print, frame or send. Private order images are normally deleted seven days after delivery, so save your files and the album ZIP before then.
Which dog photos work best?
Use a clear photo with one complete, recognizable dog and some space around the ears, paws and tail. Soft even light, visible eyes and a calm pose help. Avoid severe blur, screenshots, collages, strong filters, digital zoom and people overlapping the dog.
Choose a Christmas-card photo that works before decoration
A festive portrait starts with the same practical qualities as a year-round portrait: a clear face, visible coat detail and enough space around the dog. You do not need to dress your dog in a costume or make it sit beside decorations. A hat covering the eyes or a prop crossing the muzzle can make the source harder to use. Choose a comfortable pose first, then use an available setting and your own card layout to create the seasonal mood. The selected look is shown in the order flow, where current availability remains authoritative.
Plan the layout and the printing separately
Decide whether your card will be portrait, landscape or square before placing a downloaded image into a design. Keep greetings away from the eyes and leave a safe margin around the edges according to your printer's instructions. The transparent PNG lets you arrange the source-derived dog cutout in a design of your own; the full-resolution portrait already includes its setting. Preview both at the intended size. DogPhoto does not supply printing, framing or postal delivery, so allow time for those separate steps and inspect a proof before placing a larger print order.
Keep a digital version for the family album
Download the finished files and save a copy with your original photograph and card design. That makes it easier to create a social post or revisit the portrait next year without depending on an expiring processing link. If you process several photos, check every result before assembling the album. A consistent setting can help the collection feel connected, but different dogs, poses and light will still produce different images. The examples show possible directions, the photo guide helps you take a better source, and pricing gives the current totals for your planned order.
